Friends,

The Stillhouse Bottom Band has a number of gigs lined up over the
next few weeks across the Triangle area, and we hope you can join us
at one of them.

* 9/17/2004 - Warehouse Blues Series, Downtown Durham, 6 pm.

A two band show, with Cool John, Whistlin' Britches, Macavine Hayes,
and Captain Luke, this event will be at the club formally known as
THE EDGE, 108 Morris St in Durham, NC. The show will still be 6-8 pm.
Free parking, free admission, because it's sponsored by the Durham
Herald and the City of Durham.

* 9/18/2004 - ArtsCenter Benefit Festival, Carrboro, NC, 8 pm. (we
play at 10 pm)

Join The ArtsCenter "with a little help from our friends" as we
celebrate our 30th birthday. Friday night: Velvet, Big Medicine,
Bill & Libby Hicks, Lightnin' Wells, Loose Mood and Hooverville.
Saturday night: Magnolia Klezmer Band, Brown Mountain Lights,
Stillhouse Bottom Band, Red Clay Ramblers, Darryl Stover, Jaafar and
Saludos Compay. Saturday night, between sets, the handmade Earl Wynn
Theater quilts will be auctioned off! Minimum bids for their
one-of-a-kind work will be set and many of the artists are loaning
new quilts to replace ones sold. Sunday afternoon: the Block Party
Weekend wraps up on the lawn at Weaver Street with a free performance
by Paperhand Puppet Intervention.

$20, $15 ArtsCenter Friends for either Friday or Saturday
$30, $20 ArtsCenter Friends for both nights

* 9/24/2004 - Last Friday, Hillsborough Arts Council, 6-9 pm.

This is a free event on the lawn of the old courthouse in historic
downtown Hillsborough. A pretty casual affair where you can mingle
with the locals and check out some downtown shops and restaurants.

* 9/26/2004 - Habitat for Humanity House Party, Durham County, 4 pm.

A fund-raiser for a local Habitat branch, we hope you are able to
support this worthwhile cause.

* 10/1/2004 - Bynum General Store, 7 pm.

Always a great venue to play, the store is located in Bynum, just
north of the Haw River off 15-501, a few miles south of Chapel Hill.
Pick up BBQ at Allen & Son, and since it's outdoors, you might want
to bring an umbrella and a sweater.

* 10/7-10/10/2004 - Shakori Hills Fall Festival, Silk Hope, NC.

We're excited to be playing at this event. The talent they have
lined up is awesome, with a number of local favorites among the over
40 bands they have selected. Definitely check out their web site
(http://www.grassroots.org/FallShakori/), and try not to miss this
event! My understanding is we play Saturday, 1:30 pm.

That's it for now! I hope we get to see you at one of these events!

Sincerely,

Bobb Head, banjo & bass
